Ed Rensi


Edward H. Rensi is the co-founder and co-owner, along with Tom Dentice and Vince Naccarato, of Tom & Eddie’s, the gourmet burger restaurant that originated in Lombard in 2010, then expanded with additional locations in Geneva, Deerfield and Vernon Hills.

Ed joined McDonald’s in 1966 as a grill man, and in 1991, he was named CEO of McDonald’s USA. Rensi’s leadership established McDonald’s as the world’s most successful quick service restaurant.

A graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, Rensi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. In May, 2010, Ed received three honors from Norwich University in Vermont; an honorary degree of Doctor of Business Administration; he gave the commencement address to the class of 2010; and he was made an honorary Colonel in the Vermont State Militia.

Today, he serves on the boards of directors of Snap-on Tools, Great Wolf Resorts, Spin Fresh Technology. He also owns NASCAR’s Team Rensi Motorsports.
